It was another early start today, but we did have time to have breakfast, which was a bonus.
It was the traditional Military Visit Day today where MEPS visits a local military base/installation. The bus picked us up at 7:25am to take us to the 1st Air Bde area where we visited the manufacturing plant, supply and distribution Centre for the Air Force, the Antarctic Expedition Centre, and AME Assets. The visit was very interesting but most speeches were in Spanish which took some of the shine off.We had a welcome coffee/tea break before the first presentation, then another one straight after that, then to the manufacturing plant, distribution centre, Antarctica session, and lastly the AME presentations. It was about 1:30pm by this time so it was back to the Officers Mess for lunch. Man these people certainly know how to eat. Started with cold meats, cheeses and bread, followed by empanadas, followed by two stews - chicken and beef, followed by roast pork sandwiches, followed by cake for dessert! All washed down with red wine and champagne, or coke or water.
We all got back onto the bus to return to BA city feeling like big fat ticks. Got back to the hotel about 5pm. Started packing, downloaded photos to laptop, etc. The others went out for dinner, but I was not feeling that flash (sore throat is back) so opted to stay in with no dinner as I did not really need anything more to eat. After packing, it was time for a shower and bed. Relatively early night for another very early start for our trip to Iguazu Falls.
